Victorian awnings for Murano

13 Sep 2018

These two Victorian awnings, installed at Murano on Queen Street, London, are unique in that the covers have been seamed from multiple smaller widths of fabric to produce a stripe which is special to this particular installation. Here at Morco we just cannot say "no" to unusual requests and will always bend over backwards to meet client requirements,  no matter how complex or technically challenging. These Victorian awnings are constructed, as always, using the finest seasoned, harvested, hardwoods and are painted with an environmentally friendly water based paint. The timber work has been coloured to match precisely the fabric stripe and you can see how our RAGS®  branding system has been used to apply the subtle text in contrasting cream to the valances.

Murano opened in 2008 and within 4 months achieved a Michelin Star, followed by 4 AA Rosettes. Combined with exemplary food and wine, Murano offers an ambience and approach to service that focuses on making their guests feel instantly welcome and at home.

Murano is a series of islands linked by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. It lies about 1.5 kilometres) north of Venice and measures about 1.5 km across with a population of just over 5,000 persons .  It is famous for its glass making and  was once an independent comune, but is now a frazione of the comune of Venice.
