Victorian awnings at The Duke of Richmond, Hackney

22 Nov 2018

These two fine Victorian awnings have been installed at newly restored Duke of Richmond pub which is located on the corner of Queensbridge Road and Richmond Road in Hackney.  The awnings are finished in dark colours to reflect the traditional nature of the hostelry and the stylised graphics to the front valance are of particular note. These graphics have been produced using  the Morco RAGS® branding process which has permitted us to create very small, but perfectly formed, text which is impossible to replicate on fabric using the more old fashioned application of paint with a brush.

After much work The Duke of Richmond has been restored to its former glory. The new Duke Of Richmond offers a bookable 30-cover dining room serving a French-inspired menu, using only the best of British seasonal produce. As well as an outside covered terrace area for al fresco drinking and a separate pub and bar snacks menu.

Duke of Richmond is a title in the Peerage of England that has been created four times in British history. It has been held by members of the royal Tudor and Stuart families. The current dukedom of Richmond was created in 1675 for Charles Lennox, the illegitimate son of King Charles II of England and a Breton noblewoman, Louise de Penancoët de Kérouaille.
