Victorian awning, Mayfair

Victorian awning for Métier, Mayfair

8 Aug 2019

This traditional Victorian Awning which we have installed at Métier of Audley Street, Mayfair, fits perfectly with the frontage of this listed building. Our great experience of installing awnings in London allows us to be completely aware of the historical significance of precious buildings and we are therefore able to offer awnings of this type which sympathetically blend with the architecture. These Victorian awnings meet the design style dictated by age of the building but the use of modern components, where appropriate, gives the product an enhanced integrity and greater life. The use of bespoke components, manufactured in house, right down to the last arm shoe and connector and period style slotted screws are just as they were in Victorian times. The graphic application to the awning fabric has been achieved by the careful use of our bespoke RAGS® branding process.

Launched in 2017 with a collection of handbags and luggage for men and women, Métier is the outcome  of Founder and Designer Melissa Morris. bringing  decades of experience in both the fashion industry and the everyday world, Métier pairs a passion for classic luxury designs with an obsession for elegant solutions to modern problems.

Audley Street is an elegant London thoroughfare which has had some notable residents. Of particular note is the blue plaque home of Constance Spry the noted author, florist and domestic science educationalist. One of the little known facts of Miss Spry was that she created a dish at the time of Queen Elizabeth it's coronation which was dubbed "coronation chicken".
