Traditional Victorian Awnings - Updated Features Original Aesthetics

Whilst, in one form or another, awnings have been in use since ancient times the Industrial Revolution moved us rapidly from simple sheets of canvas on poles into the sophisticated retractable awnings seen today.

Probably the most significant change came in the 19th Century, when the spring roller was developed, enabling awning manufacturers to create what is generally known today as the Victorian Awning.

Whilst, at Morco, we retain all the original features of the Victorian Awning with its wooden crafted box and steel arms we now finish the digitally formed metal work in high impact powder coating and, FSC sourced, hardwood is coated with non-toxic water-based paint or stain.
