Special Historical Canopies for George Club, Mayfair

As part of a major refurbishment project at the famous George Club in Mayfair, we have been commissioned to provide a highly bespoke RIB corner canopy with integrated traditional awnings to two elevations.

Inspired by the the large corner canopies of the early nineteenth century often found on large department stores such as Harrods or Selfridges, the canopy has been designed with a unique front curve and special cut timber laths making it truly a one-off, something you will not see anywhere else in the world.
Completely manufactured in our London workshop, we were able to achieve the clients vision by using our unique RIB framework and precision bending technology.  The small but robust aluminium extrusions were able to provide the flexibility for the desired shape and high tension fabric cover, qualities unmatched by any alternative fabric canopy systems.

The canopies needed to reflect the outstanding quality, historical relevance and superb architecture of this impressive Mayfair establishment; we are very happy that this appears to been achieved and look forward to seeing the completed installation soon!
