Marlesbury awnings in Paddington

These Marlesbury® awnings fitted on two levels of this magnificent home in Paddington, London. The  Marlesbury awnings,  are a modern awning design based on traditional pivot awning lines. The awning has an  elegant, yet simple,  aspect incorporating  smart metalwork profiles which accentuate the fine  lines of the design. These particular awnings have been designed to drop below the regular ninety degree inclination in order to provide maximum shade and internal comfort. When retracted the awnings recede into neat boxes concealed within the decorative pilasters and are notable for their unobtrusive appearance. The awnings are electrically operated through a remote switching system and the neat short valances have been weighted for stability.  

You won't find many honey loving Peruvian bears in Paddington but the beautiful residential part was laid out in the mid-1800s when grand squares and cream-stuccoed terraces started to fill the acres between Paddington station and Hyde Park.
