It is not surprising that, with us now being in our seventh decade of business, many of our customers have been with us for so long. Either buying new awnings, when they expand, or replacing or renovating awnings which we will have previously installed. The Connaught hotel is one of the many customers who come back to us time after time for such work. In this particular example the prestigious Connaught Hotel is committed to keeping their awnings in pristine condition and regularly change the fabric of the awnings for this very purpose. Our latest task has been to replace the covers on their Greenwich Awnings® with this striking red shade. Additionally, the graphics of Jean - George restaurant have been faithfully reproduced using our bespoke RAGS® branding process. Note also the feature, particular to the Greenwich awning, where the awning fabric is wrapped around the front profile to create a pure unbroken line of colour.
The menus at Jean-Georges’ are inspired both by the Far East and use of South-east Asian flavours, whilst also featuring a distinctive take on British and Connaught classics, from fish and chips to traditional afternoon tea. Sourcing the best of British ingredients, the menus also reflect the simple farm-to-table, fresh-from-the-market approach.
The hotel reopened after refurbishment in December 2007 and development continued throughout 2008 when The Connaught Bar, designed by David Collins, opened. The hotel also has a swimming pool Asian-inspired spa and, of course the aforementioned restaurant.
