Greenwich Awning for Major Development in Durham

These nine Greenwich awnings have been installed as part of the Milburngate 450,000 sq. ft development on the banks of the River Wear in the heart of Durham.

The installation of the Greenwich awnings required us to fabricate special side shoe brackets on our laser steel cutter which enabled the Greenwich awning side arms to drop to a maximum of 120 degrees from the vertical.

Detailed digital drawings of the awnings and their fixings, created by our designers, ensured an appropriate substrate was built into the building fabrication.

Teamwork of this type is critical on new builds and the close working of our designers with the client architect enabled the project to go smoothly, despite the long distances involved.
