Fixed Marlesbury residential awnings

These five  Marlesbury awnings, which we have installed at this St John's Wood residence, incorporate a particularly interesting feature. The Marlesbury awning has fine, traditional, lines and feature attractive sliding arms which would normally allow the awning to retract into its fabric top cover. On this particular job the client wanted the awnings to be fixed in position but liked the visual appeal of the arm slides so much that they asked us to retain them for purely aesthetic reasons. The awning arms have been powder coated in our London facility and the valance can be seen to be weighted to give it additional support.

Whilst Morco are known primarily for our commercial work we have, through our many Designer contacts been asked to install awnings at a number of exclusive residences both here in London and at other homes in some of the smartest areas across mainland Europe.

St John's Wood is an affluent district of residential streets lined with the plane trees associated with much of London's up market areas. This part of the city is also famous for the location of The Lords Cricket Ground and was home to the Beatles recording Studio, Abbey Road, which, in turn, was made additionally famous by the iconic photograph they had taken of them crossing the road outside the studios.
