These new Victorian awnings at the exclusive George Club in Mount Street are typical of the very high standard of our traditional work. The awning boxes are all made from harvested hardwood timber and the blue awning fabric is discreetly highlighted with the famous George logo text. This is applied by hand using the unique RAGS system by our graphic artist. A particular feature to be noted on these awnings is the carefully placed Victorian clout nails in the front of the cover - it is a special skill in itself to align these so perfectly by hand on site.
Founded in 2001, George is a contemporary private Members' Club with restaurant and bar, canopied decking outside, overlooking Mount Street. The Club’s walls are decorated with artworks by David Hockney and the bar downstairs has an Art Deco feel. The contemporary menu at George specialises in seasonal ingredients to create classic brasserie dishes with both British and international influences. Private parties are catered for and George is an ideal venue for elite events. There is a strict dress code at the club and it is well worth looking up the do's and don'ts on their website to avoid disappointment.
