Restaurant awnings  have had to adapt to the changing demands of well travelled diners who are used to the  experience of eating and drinking outdoors and want to continue to enjoy this experience when visiting their favourite dining venue at home.

Whilst the weather is fine all is well but in extremes of heat, such as we have recently experienced, or on the onset of a heavy shower diners do not want the party spoiled.
