Classic awnings for Peckham Cellars

These large Classic folding awnings with their robust construction have been powder coated by us, in our own workshop, in black to blend in with the shopfront surround at Peckham Cellars Wine Bar soon to be open  on the Queens Road in Peckham. The Classic folding awning is available in large sizes due to its robust construction and can be manually, as here, operated by a simple gear mechanism or electrically powered via a remote switching device.  The Classic commercial awning is a superior, heavy-duty commercial system that comes with a protective hood that sits above the awning which protects it from the elements when retracted as can be seen in the accompanying photo.

With a planned opening on 19th November and described as "a new neighbourhood kitchen, wine bar and shop", Peckham Cellars Wine Bar will be open for dinner during the week and also for lunches at the weekend. For food, the menu will be mostly British and Mediterranean and they'll be using local suppliers like Flock and Herd and London Smoke and Cure. The wine-wise, owner's  list mixes both natural and more traditional styles, championing lesser-known regions

Hard as it is to believe but "Peckham" is a the name of a Saxon village and is named after the River Peck which flowed through it until it was enclosed in 1823. Archaeological evidence has revealed that there was also a Roman settlement here at one time but little other information of this is known.
