Branding to awnings has been a common feature since they were first seen on our high streets back in the 1800's. In those days branding only took the form of basic block lettering with quantity of words seemingly more important that aesthetic appearance. Today, branding takes the form of complex logos and trademarks which have to accurately reproduced both in terms of design and colour.

At Morco we have invested heavily in Computer Aided (CAD) based design software which, when skilfully used, creates perfect client logo reproduction which can be replicated many times over in a way which is just not possible with traditional painting methods. The system we have developed we call the RAGS® branding process and this has enabled us, not only to reproduced any multi (4-colour) coloured graphic accurately but, in certain circumstances, we can used the process to cover an entire awning cover with vibrant colour and design.

However, in the case of some of our most prestigious jobs all the that glisters, or glitters, really is gold and the gold leaf we apply by hand to awnings where this is requested is the 24 carat gold leaf. This micro thin gold we apply by hand to digital graphics which we have transferred to the awning surface and which has been and specially prepared with gold leaf sizing paste.

Whilst, undoubtedly costly, gold leaf will shine like new no matter what time or the weather may do and nothing makes the quality statement clearer to the discerning shopper.
