Bellfort Terrace Awning at The Crown

The Crown, a fine traditional English pub in Chiswick, recently approached Morco with a challenging request. They wanted to maintain the openness and attractiveness of their outside terrace but also have a facility for all-year-round use, allowing their clients to enjoy the sun in summer but warmth & full protective coverage in winter.

Our in-house design team at Morco provided the perfect solution, the Morco Bellfort Terrace Awning. This terrace awning acts as a fully retractable fabric roof and, when installed with integrated side-screens, encloses a terrace to provide a warm, protected, unconfined space filled with natural light and minimal framework. A bespoke triangular fabric infill panel and infra-red heaters were included in the design to round the proposal and ensure the clients requirements were fulfilled.

Our design for this terrace was developed to compliment this historic courtyard in terms of geometry, style and usability. All finishes are consistent across the installation to ensure continuity and quality in appearance and to retain the original character of the building.

This commercial terrace awning is much more than a pub awning, it is a striking, efficient solution, and one we hope The Crown and their patrons will benefit from and enjoy for many years to come.
