Basque chef Iñaki Aizpitarte opens La Chabanais in Mount Street, Mayfair

It was a privilege to be involved in the much-anticipated opening of Basque chef Iñaki Aizpitarte first restaurant in London. La Chabanaise in Mount Street, Mayfair is the sister restaurant of Le Chateaubriand in Paris, which is currently ranked number 27 in the world’s 50 leading restaurants.

Like Iñaki Aizpitarte, Morco have gained a reputation across Europe, where we are seen as a leading option for providing sophisticated restaurant awning solutions. For this project, we worked with the restaurant design team. The finished result is a recess-fitted Signature Greenwich Awning®. The Greenwich Awning® was developed by Morco and was influenced by classic continental styling. This simple elegant awning has proved a huge success and is one of the most popular choices for discerning establishments

The resulting restaurant awning has our innovative RAGS branding technology on the valance, which allows total design freedom. The awning is also recess-fitted to provide a seamless and elegant housing for the awning when retracted.
