Awning and canopy valances add style

According to the dictionary a valance is a length of decorative drapery attached to the canopy or frame of a bed in order to screen the structure or the space beneath it. Alternatively, a sheet with a deep pleated or gathered border that is designed to hang down over the mattress and sides of a bed. In the USA it is  a length of decorative drapery hung above a window to screen the curtain fittings.

However, in the awnings business the valance is an extremely useful and often attractive section of material which is attached to the bottom edge of an awning and canopy to both finish off the appearance neatly and give and additional opportunity for branding using our bespoke RAGS® system of graphics application.

The images alongside show some of the many styles of awning or canopy valance available and, when clients have a special requirement, we will create a shape or style to match individual requirements.

Where appropriate, we will also weight the lower edge of the valance to give it greater stability and resistance to gusts of wind.
