Victorian awning for The Coffee Jar Camden

15 Nov 2016

The Coffee Jar, on Parkway in Camden is a cosy spot. It’s a small, friendly space with a simple rustic feel with lots of old timber decor. Since opening in 2013 the café has become popular with locals who enjoy the well made Monmouth espresso  served in beautiful ceramic cups. many coffee lovers agree this is one of the best London cafes for their favourite Monmouth coffee.

Lots of other goodies are available to tempt you including chocolate and rare teas in addition to homemade cakes and toasted sandwiches. Drop by next you are around buying your paper or sightseeing.

The simple Victorian stye awning we have installed was made in our London workshop and the side arms were especially engineered  to follow the unusual curves of the shopfront as the facia below the awning box is particularly large.

Whilst our traditional awnings are made to traditional methods we do not ignore the advantages of modern techniques. The hardwood timber work is painted with the latest environmentally approved water based paints and the side arms are now chemically sterilized before being powder coated in our new powder coating facility in Charlton.

Camden Town was laid out as a residential district from 1791 and originally part of the manor of Kentish Town and the parish of St Pancras. The area  became an important location during the 1800's due to rail and canal development. No longer an industrial economic base this has been replaced by service industries such as retail, tourism and entertainment. The area also hosts street markets and music venues which are strongly associated with the more flamboyant side of London.
