New Victorian awnings at La Ferme

1 Jun 2018

Awnings became a common fixture on our high streets during the first half of the 19th century but they can also been seen on classic paintings from much earlier where awnings can be seen draped over markets and political platforms alike. Whilst we can't claim to have supplied awnings to the likes of Napoleon Bonaparte, as he inspired his troops before the battles of Austerlitz or Borodino, Morco has been a committed manufacturer of period style awnings  since 1956. This Francophile theme leads conveniently to one of our latest traditional installations; a lovely Victorian awning installed at the newly opened Primrose Hill branch of La Ferme French restaurant. With hardwood box and steel arms this awning is finished in a sky  blue fabric with comic style text, applied using our unique graphics system, finishing off the whole.

La Ferme London is a restaurant offering seasonal  authentic French cuisine with a creative twist. Everything you order is freshly made, their boast is that they do not possess a single micro-wave in their kitchen! The restaurant offers a menu of traditional French dishes using seasonal artisan produce, often sourced from France, and is the brand’s second location, following the first site in Farringdon which opened in 2015.
